Temple Bar Caravan Park - Alice Springs NT
Temple Bar Caravan Park is located on Ilparpa Road Alice Springs. There are 28 powered and 4 unpowered sites available for caravans, campers and motorhomes. Sixteen on site caravans are available for rent. The park is very good value and has magnificent scenery. Pets can be exercised in a nearby dry creek bed. Facilities in this park are limited. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you found them on Caravan Park Photos. Photos on this page were kindly supplied by the park in February 2013.

I must complement you for having a map that highlights our front gate, and not some remote point in the middle of our 3000 acre property!
We have done a lot of work gradually improving the Park bit by bit, and still plenty to do. Our latest project has been to convert our 10 non-long term sites to drive thru, to add to our two existing drive thru sites. The sites are still around 150 square metres each, and vans will be still a good distance apart - often more than previously. In the process we have installed all new power supply (individually metered pay as you use) with THREE 15 amp fully protected outlets to each site. The other two sites have two 15 amp fully protected outlets each. The 10 drive thru sites have two taps each, and will have their own sullage.
In total we still only have 47 powered sites - 12 dedicated for tourists/travellers/short stayers. 12 of our 15 (included in the 47 powered sites), cabins have been renovated, and are all let to long termers (no such thing as "permenant"!) The remainder of our powered sites are also fully occupied with long termers - result of the Federal Gov. Intervention, mining activity. and shortage of land/housing. All except five of these long term sites have thier own ablutions, so the pressure on our ablution block is low. We also have been very strict on who gets to stay here, and we have a very good bunch of folk, and intend to keep it that way.
We have done a lot to improve the ladies showers, and now have only four in the same space there was once six. We still have plenty of hot water.
I believe our prices this season will be $21 per site per night, plus power, for up to two adults, seventh night free if paid in advance. (Power rates are set by the Provider, currently 30.45c per KWh.)
Pets considered. We have a flexible number of non powered sites, six to ten.
We are a modest, small, no frills friendly Park, but we have the best customers!
