Bendemeer Tourist Park - Bendemeer NSW
Bendemeer Tourist Park is situated right on the New England Highway at Bendemeer so some highway noise is unavoidable. The park is relatively small but is well maintained and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The powered sites have nice views over the village of Bendemeer and the old bridge. Limited cottage accommodation is available. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos. Photos on this page were taken on the 16th July 2011.
Recent photos on this page were kindly supplied by our roving reporter Alf Barnett in May and October 2014.

Beautiful spot, nice weather, plenty of space, clean amenities, very friendly staff and price is good.
We stayed in December 2014 for a few weeks and the town and surrounding hills were really lush and green.
River was running well and a good variety of birds. The park has a lovely outlook over the village and river. Stayed again in April 2015. Wonderful hosts and new owners have made some great improvements. The Thursday night fish and chips is a real treat. Thanks Wilma and Wayne.

What a top spot! We stayed there for two nights, and wished it could have been longer! Despite the highway traffic, the site was peaceful and calm, and Bendemeer is a truly idyllic community. The food at the pub is pretty good too! Owners tremendously friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Stayed at the Bendemeer Park two nights ago, rates very good $10 per person plus $5 for power.
CMCA member discount $15 flat per night.
Very nice couple who own and facilities are fairly old but very clean.

I experienced many miracles visiting this park ... the most cutest close church over the bridge ... and amazed to see the Park owners there on the Sunday .... It is a really blessed spot ... please don't take my spot next Tamworth .... (you can have it if you really want) ...just a short drive into the mayhem of tamworth during the festval with seering hot days: then escape back to paradise up the mountain where it is 10 degrees cooler at night then Tamworth itself .... I wont be staying anywhere else ... Daz (Black Diamond).

Do yourself a favour when passing Bendemeer just 40Klm from Tamworth and beside the New England Highway and stay overnight or if like us at least two and enjoy all this caravan park and little village offers. The owners are very warm and friendly and although the amenities are older they more than make up for it in the litlle things that matter, like full length mirror and paper towels and clean. I will visit here whenever I can and the scenery of the village just make it a pleasant stopover after a days travel.

"Bendemeer Tourist Park is an idyllic spot which I never knew existed where there's such a friendly atmosphere with picture perfect surroundings. When I arrived at the Park and too tired too cook, I was told the best meals are just a two minute walk across the river at the old Bendemeer Hotel. --and they are!"
