Elizabeth Beach rest area has plenty of room but the road is gravel and could get sloppy in the wet. Wallis Lake, on the western boundary, is popular for boating and windsurfing. Cape Hawke has one of the state's most significant stands of coastal rainforest. There's car-based and caravan camping at The Ruins - facilities include hot showers and gas barbecues. Wood fires are not permitted anywhere in the park or on the beaches. Access 10 km south of Forster on The Lakes Way. If you decide to stay overnight then it is entirely at your own risk.
