Bongaree Caravan Park - Bribie Island QLD

The Bongaree Caravan Park is located at Welsby Parade Bribie Island. The park is well located right on the beach on the passage side of the island and within walking distance of a supermarket and anything else you would desire. Bowling and RSL Clubs are also within walking distance.

The park is very clean and tidy with annex slabs to every site. Power, water and sullage are all close by. Amenities are clean and functional with plenty of water pressure and are close to all sites, there is also a dump point. There is off street parking for check inn opposite the office and general store.

The managers are very friendly and will put your caravan on site with a small tractor if required. You are also supplied with information about the island. Prices are as expected, we paid $34 a night with one night free for a weekly rate.

There are some waterfront sites for additional cost but we found that the row behind gave you as good a view as the dearer ones. There is a $20 deposit on the amenity key refundable on leaving. There is also security boom gates and cameras on the entrance and exit to the park.

It is not a large park so booking would be a good idea on weekends and school hols. Boat ramp is opposite. This is a good park for a holiday with small children or for a week or so for us grey nomads to do some quiet fishing. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park on 07 3408 1054 and please tell the park that you found them on Caravan Park Photos.

Photos and report on this page were kindly supplied by our roving reporter Howard the Duck in November 2011.

We have stayed here a few times now in our van and find it to be a very comfortable park. The manager guided us into the site. Beautiful views. Only criticism is that the BBQ area could be more inviting.

Stayed at this park very recently. Would not recommend it at all. Manager was very rude and not welcoming or helpful. The cabin was not clean and the bathroom in particular - the shower floor was covered in loose dirt. Tiles and floor looked like they had not been cleaned for months- and yet there was a sign requesting you clean the cabin- or would be charged $75.00 per hour! The cabin was left in 150% better state than found it in. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We had a wonderful stay at Bongaree caravan park. The Managers and staff were friendly and very helpful. A great place for a relaxing holiday.

After enjoying our past 7 Easter holidays at Bongaree, we will never return again. The new managers (they are not the owners) are the rudest people we have ever come across. Over the years, we have come to know lots of other families who camp at Bongaree and all of them had some sort of run in with the managers this year. Our kids love camping there each year

We had an awful experience at this park. The Managers were very rude and unwelcoming. Not recommended for families as children aren't allowed to enjoy themselves.
