Tourism in this town is very interesting. For a fee you are givien a key which gives you access to many places of interest that you otherwise wouldn't have access to. eg. a closer look at the old mine and and inside view of the Girls Reformatory Gaol. We saw quite a few signs around town with a picture of a key on it. The old buildings in this pretty little town are gorgeous. Tourist attractions include the Heritage Passport Tour which incorporates The Burra Monster Mine, Redruth Gaol, The Miners Dug Outs, The Unicorn Brewery, Museums Art Gallery. Check out the antique shops, Burra Creek Gorge, play golf, or perhaps just relax. Use Burra as a base to visit the Clare Valley Wine Region, Mintaro, Marrabel, Saddleworth, Robertstown Eudunda.
