Canberra South Motor Park - Symonston ACT

Symonston is a suburb of Canberra located 7km from the center of Canberra. The Canberra South Motor Park has 150 tourist sites of which 40 are powered. The park has a large number of unpowered sites for campers and caravans with their own power source. The park is located on the intersection of two very busy roads so there is substantial traffic noise, particularly during the day. There is an excellent shopping complex within the park which includes a restaurant. The resident managers are Lorna and Peter Greenhaigh. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.  If you stay at this park make sure you check out the activities of the Historical Rainway Museum at the nearby Kingston Railway Station.
Stayed 3 nights - good location. Amenities clean, showers hot. Staff friendly. Nothing flash about the place but we have certainly stayed at worse. It looked to be the best place to stay in Canberra location wise. Don't miss the Fyshwick Markets just up the road! Raechel Slekowetz, Perth WA..
