| Albury is a city of 42,500 people situated 559km south west of Sydney. The city is located on the Murray River which is the dividing line between NSW and Victoria. Wine, cattle, crops and educational services are the mainstay of the city. There are many historic places and buildings to be explored. Lake Hume is one of the scenic highlights of the area. The lake rises and falls in response to downstream irrigation needs. It is also a magnet for water sports and fishing. A trout hatchery can be found nearby.
