Hay NSW

Photos of Caravan Parks at Hay NSW

Hay is a town of 2,900 people located on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at the junction of the Mid Western, Cobb and Sturt Highways, 726km south-west of Sydney. The Hay Plains are among the flatest on planet earth. If a truck passes you it is still visible up to 10km away. Hay is famous for sheep and shearing and the Shear Outback facility attracts visitors from all over the world. Shear Outback has shearing demonstrations every day and is a fascinating place to visit with a genuine shearing shed which was moved piece by piece from Murray Downs. The town can be extremely hot in summer and dust storms are not uncommon. Magnificent views of the night sky can been seen away from the lights of the town.
