| Howlong is a small village of 1,700 people situated 589km south west of Sydney and only a short 20 minute drive from Albury. The town has a nice bakery which serves good coffee efficiently and cheerfully. The town depends on farming and tourism for its survival. The town is only 8km from the Rutherglen wine region and 1km from the Murray River. |
