The park is ordinary at best. There are 24 sites with power and water. If full, all crammed in like sardines. Only a park for the die hard fishermen. The road into Fowlers Bay is atrocious. Travelling from the west, there is 27 Klms of unsealed road, which we were advised hadn't been graded for 2 years. This is the worst road I've ever travelled on and many times I considered turning around and going back. The road is rutted, corrugated, potholed and the best we could do was about 20 Klms an hour. The road leading out of Fowlers is just as bad but there is only 12 Klms of this one.
