Pine Park Tourist Grounds and Marina - Greenwell Point NSW

Pet Friendly

Pine Park Tourists Grounds and Marina has been described in the NSW Parliament by Mr Paul Lynch as "the caravan park from hell." I would definitely give this one a wide berth (forgive the pun!). However we acknowledge that things change over time and if you have enjoyed your time at this park please add a review in the comments block below.

My wife and I just basically bought a site to put our imported luxury caravan on at Pine Park Caravan Park. I am a retired doctor of psychology, so I have a better idea of people's attitudes/demeanors. I met Steve the owner Sunday 21/11/21. He quite ages (probably late 70's). His son apparently does most things in the park. I had a wonderful talk with Steve. He was extremely helpful and offered me one of several sites. Told me how cheap his park was (very cheap). I don't even have to call in advance of taking my huge caravan down there from Liverpool. He told me to just drive in and set up. Yes, the park is run down. However, Steve was explaining to me that he was removing many of the old caravans from the park and filling the back section of the park with permanent cabins for rent. At present, the 2 amenities blocks are basically closed.

I recently visited this park and literally burst into tears at the state of it. This is where I holidayed as a child with my grandparent and what was once a colorful, incredibly well manicured and maintained family holiday park felt like an absolute run down ghost town. The pool I had learnt to swim in was empty and growing weeds, one of the jettys had been completely removed and instead of rows of caravans, there were vacant lots or concrete slabs in between neglected caravans. Very, very sad to see.

Funny how one person can complain about something and the results never go away. The story in this web site only tells one side of it, the thing is if you do the right thing in ANY caravan park the stay can be great BUT if you do the wrong thing then you should be ejected. Simply do the right thing and life in a holiday Caravan Park will be worth it.
