Location: On the south-east edge of Brooyar State Forest alongside Glastonbury Creek. Approaching from the south, the campground is on the right just past the entrance. From the north it is on the left, 2km past the entrance.
Access: The campground can be reached by conventional vehicles, trailers, caravans and buses. Peterson Road, 20 km west of Gympie, provides the best access for caravans.
Number of sites: Not numbered. Maximum camping area capacity is 120 people.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; caravans; camper trailers; small and large motorhomes and large groups.
Campsite surface: Grass.
Facilities: Fire rings, composting toilets and chlorinated creek water. The adjacent day-use area has wood barbecues and picnic tables.
Open fires: Allowed (except when fire bans or prohibitions apply) in fire rings only, but fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: Not permitted.
Essentials to bring: Drinking water, a fuel stove for cooking, rubbish bags (bins are not provided), insect repellent and sunscreen. If you wish to use the barbecues and fire rings bring your own firewood (untreated mill off-cuts).
Bookings: Book online or by phone. Self registration is no longer available - bookings are required.
Mobile phone coverage: Generally available on ridges.
