The beach is popular for swimming, surfing, fishing or just relaxing. Car-based and caravan camping is available at Point Plomer (for information phone 6583 8805) or Melaleuca camping area (basic facilities); however sites are busy in summer and the access road is unsealed. Bring your own drinking water, and provide your own firewood or purchase it on site. Amenities are wheelchair-accessible.
Access 15 km south of Crescent Head off the Plomer Road. Vehicle entry fee applies. You'll need to bring drinking water and firewood with you. You can explore rare rainforests on a short loop track from this campground.

At Big Hill Point, 12km south of Crescent Head via Crescent Head Road. You can park a caravan, trailer, or a tent in this campground. There are a total of 100 campsites. Beach sports and the short rainforest loop walk are popular activities at this site.
