Merry Beach is a small seaside village located 269km south of Sydney. The Merry Beach Caravan Park is located right on the beach with lovely views of the ocean. The park has 300 sites of which 200 have power. The park has some impressive cottage accommodation. I stayed overnight at this park and found a number of aspects disappointing. I am assured that they do have hot water in their amenities block but when I went for a shower at 9pm it had all gone. The lighting in the park at night is excessive. More appropriate for a prison than a quiet seaside resort. A large number of kangaroos visit the park at night and although this is pleasing to the eye they leave droppings everwhere. As the powered sites are on grass great care needs to be exercised not to take the droppings into your van. I raised the issue of the hot water and lighting with the staff and they assured me they would follow up on these matters. Bookings can be made by telephoning 02 4457-1065.

Camped at Merry beach for a weekend in June. Was really impressed with the location right on the beach, and I mean on the beach!!! The park was very clean, no issues with houskeeping at all. No real cooking facilities but brillant veiws. Open fires were permitted which was great. It was really nice to have a wine next to the ocean with the fire keeping us warm. Overall I enjoyed my say so much we brought a permanent caravan and so far have not looked back.Phil Roy, Sydney NSW.

I have stayed at merry beach caravan park since I was a young child and have always found it beautiful its the perfect place to stay when you just want to get away and have personal relaxation time. I find the ammenities low key but very natural depending on the accommodation you inhabit if your a big spender you will have luxury at your feet but if your just the basic camper you have the use of the public ammenities which again I have always found very natural and it still keeps you clean and healthy. I would recommend this stay for anybody once you've stayed you will never look back. Rachel Burns, ACT
