Active Holidays White Albatross - Nambucca Heads NSW
The Active Holidays White Albatross in Nambucca Heads borrows its name from "Camping Albatross" some fifteen kilometres south of Barcelona in Spain, widely regarded as Europe's finest holiday resort. This resort seems to be setting the same standards in Australia.
There's a belief in quality at the Active Holidays White Albatross which is evident throughout the Park. The Park is continually being developed and improved. This commitment to constant improvement makes it a very special place. The park has 126 sites for caravans and 110 of these are powered and 16 ensuite. A large varity of well appointed cabins and cottages are also available for rent.
The Active Holidays White Albatross is ideally situated close to beaches, nature walks, river, shops and has its own tidal swimming lagoon. The park is pet friendly. Your host is Erwin Richter. Bookings can be made by
telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.

This is the most expensive park in Nambucca. It is a Top Tourist park but we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths as soon as we booked it. We booked on line putting in the comments section our Top Tourist membership number. It charged us the full amount of stay which is normal. When we arrived, we were told when we showed our TT card that sorry we don't give membership discount when booking on line. So we sent Top Tourist head office an email and they said that was crap and we should have got our discount refunded on arrival. We arrived on the Thursday with our car and caravan and my sister was to arrive the following day. We booked 2 sites next to each other and we were told we were lucky to get that because the park was fully booked. HUH! There was 15 powered sites empty all weekend so did all these people not show up? I don't think so! Then we were given our site number, C8. We found that there was a motor home on C8 so we put our van K8 thinking they may have made a mistake. We told the office of their mistake and they allowed us to stay where we were and booked the site next to us for my sister. So ok that's was all sorted. On the Sat night we decided to have a BBQ over at the BBQ hut which had 4 BBQs. Some other people came to have a BBQ and it was soon apparent that only 2 of 4 BBQs were working! One of the other guests rang the office and was told cant do anything about it until Monday. So there was a line up of people waiting for the remaining BBQS that worked!!! There is however 4 more BBQs in the nearby camp kitchen that soon filled up. Later that night there was much singing and noise coming from the BBQ hut from some drunk guests who had too much to drink. They finally went to bed but at 2.30 another mob decided to have a party there. They were told by us to shut up but we were ingnored. We tried to find an after hours complaints phone number but it there was none on our park map and information we were given. So we had a crap nights sleep. Next day when we left we went to tell the office what we thought of the place and we were told the after hours number is on the boom gate key. HUH!!! The boom gate has been out of order for 9 months so we were not given a key!!! We were told that the park is under new management and things will get sorted. We wont go back to see if they do get sorted! Other guests voiced complaints as well and the permanents also warned us the park has gone into disrepair since Active Parks put their name on the park. The park however is in a great location a short walk to the break wall and beach. It has modern clean amenities and dump point. $5 loads for washing machines. Clean pool with small water park for the kids. Big well appointed camp kitchen and under cover BBQ hut. All roads are sealed.
