This pool is situated on the Watrara Creek and is about 400 metres walk west along the creek from Tjingkulatjatjarra (or Tjarra Pool for short) Pool. It is a wide sandy stretch of the creek about 250 metres long that often holds water late into the year. There is no vehicle access to the pool so camping is by walking your stuff in or trying to push your vehicle through the rough stuff. The main pool is at the western end of the basin and there is a second, smaller but connected pool on the junction of a smaller creek coming in from the north. The creek is shaded by white trunked gums and a rocky hill on either side.
As at July, 2009, Watrara and the nearby Jarra Pool are dry. The entire south, east and west of the park are dry due to the lack of rains.
