Shellharbour Beachside Tourist Park - Shellharbour NSW

Pet Friendly

The Shellharbour Beachside Tourist Park is located at 1 John Street, Shellharbour. This is a magnificent park in a classic beachside location. I arrived at the park late morning and was not intending to stay but when I walked around and took in the view I found it irresistable and so I checked in. The park is modern, has excellent amenities and is a short stroll from Shellharbour Village. A large salt water pool is adjacent to the park. A variety of cottages are available for rent and many of these have delightful views of the coast. The park is pet friendly. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell them that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.

Excellent location with rockpool beach one side of park and a sandy beach on another. Friendly helpful staff and easy walk to Addison Street shops which boast some great eateries. All major supermarkets approx 5 minute drive away at Stockland centre and the fish market at Stockland is one of the best we have come across for selection and freshness. It is is a MUST visit! (never met a fisherman from the park who was able to catch his own!!) Butcher in Shellharbour Village on the corner next to the bakery is good value, as is the hairdresser next door. Amenities block at park kept in good repair and clean. Laundry and disabled facility. Free electric BBQ and playground for kids. Be aware that the winds here are quite frequent and can be very strong, they also "attack" when least expected so tie down awnings etc. well, if you plan to be away from your site. Paul Henstock, Grey Nomad, QLD.

The park sits next to the beach and most sites get at least some ocean views even if not on the sea front. There are modern cabins to hire. Amenities block sits at the rear of the park is not close to some sites. All roads are sealed but one side of the road has steep gutters so care should be taken when reversing the caravan. The other side of the road is not at all steep so you can ask for one of these sites if it will be a problem. Dump point. Some sites have annex slabs some don't. Under cover BBQ area with small playground near by. No pool but there is a large free open public pool only a short walk from the park with a shaded toddler pool. No road noise. Really nice park to relax in.

A short drive away there is a great aircraft museum called HARS is well worth a visit at $20 per adult includes the Qantas 747 400 and many other aircraft all done in a guided tour.

We visited Shellharbour caravan park and stayed for a week and found the park and amenities very well looked after and the manager very pleasant. We would give this park a high rating and well recommended.
