Texas Van Park - Texas QLD

Pet Friendly

Texas (population 750) is situated on the NSW/Queensland border 320kn SW of Brisbane. Texas Van Park, previously Three Rivers Caravan Park, is small and was mainly occupied by permanents when I visited. This seems reasonable enough considering that they probably do not get a lot of passing traffic. The town is quite pleasant. The park seems to have only 2 or three tourist sites but I understand that improvements have recently been made and I am awaiting new photos from the park. The owner is Robert Hutchinson. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell them that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.
Thank you to the managment and the townspeople of Texas. Truely great people and a wonderful country town. We had major problems with our new Crossroad Cruiser Fifthwheeler the rearspring shackle pin fell out and according to the dealer we bought it off it was caused by the way I was towing it. Not to mention when we took the van to Advanced Suspensions in Toowoomba the axles were fitted 9mm out of square to the chassis. A factory problem from the dealer. Also thank you to the park owners who stored our van while we went to Canberra. All the best. Ray Foster, Bororen QLD.
