Bowen Palms Caravan Park is situated on 10 acres of parkland in Bowen in tropical North Queensland and is a warm (in the true sense of the word) and friendly place to stay.
I have stayed at the Lane Cove River Tourist Park many times and it is a lovely park surrounded by acres of bushland which make up the Lane Cove National Park.
This park was the winner of the Best Caravan Park Camp Ground in Australia for 2008 and Best Caravan Park Camp Ground in NSW for 2007 and 2008. It rightly deserves these awards.
The North Ryde Suburban Railway Station is within easy walking distance of the park which means that tourists arriving from overseas can catch a train to North Ryde and then walk down to the park.
Trains leave regularly for the city via Chatswood.
The staff of the park are always very welcoming and helpful.
You can see a full set of photos of the park here.
I recently spent a week in the park which is well maintained and presented. While I was there I recorded the following video. This is an easy park to video because of the excellent views available from the verandah of the two storey motel.
