Sue Reynolds of Melbourne reviews Tongala Caravan Park Victoria

This is a well kept, pretty caravan park, but is more suited to the senior traveller who retires early in the evening. Our first experience was the female owner pointing out the down sides of the park on our arrival. Our site was lovely, spacious and grassy. On our second evening about 11 families gathered in the camp kitchen to chat about our travels with our newly made friends (as you do in caravan parks), the male owner came over threatening to kick out the person / familiy who left wet toilet paper in the male toilets, them came back at 10.30pm and shut down the camp kitchen and was very rude and abrupt, sending us back to our sites to go to bed. The games room was locked and only with an adult could the children go in. The pool was cold and paint from the bottom and sides of the pool came off on your feet and fingers. There are much friendlier places to stay up the road in Echuca, we won’t be back and in fact left a day early.

John & Willy Denton reviews Young Tourist Park in Young NSW.

young

Our roving reporters John & Willy Denton of Brisbane Queensland review Young Tourist Park in NSW.

“Very nice park the grounds were very well kept neat and tidy. Lovely grassed sites, no concrete slabs except on the ensuites. Plenty of water, power & sullage points available. Len the manager showed us to our site was pleasant enough when we arrived, no advice or tourist information given unless we asked for it. Price OK around $24 per night. We stayed 14 nights. Len was not at all open to complaints. After a few days we noticed the amenities were not being cleaned, Len did not take it well when this was pointed out. A hose out every 3 or 4 days IS NOT cleaning. The amenities were dated but functional, plenty of hot water, no paper towels and one hand basin desperately needs replacing. As the only park in town there is no competition and the park was quite busy. The entrance beside the BP off Zouch Street is terrible, go around the corner and enter via the side street. Very nice town plenty to do. Very nice park just needs a good clean. I would rate it ( currently ) at 2.5, it could be a 4.5 with a little work”.
