Moriac Caravan Park in Moriac Victoria

Moriac is a rural town in Victoria, Australia, located approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Geelong. It forms part of the Surf Coast Shire. At the 2006 census, Moriac had a population of 594.

The town was surveyed in the 1920s as a village based around the Moriac station on the Port Fairy line, which had been founded to serve the adjacent community of Mount Moriac. The railway had opened in 1876, followed by the Wensleydale branch line which left the main line here, which opened in 1890 and closed in 1948. The Post Office had opened on 1 August 1854 as Duneed, and was renamed Mount Moriac in 1864 and Moriac around 1909.

The town was initially slow to develop, but survived the closure of the railway line and grew to house a population of several hundred. Though still heavily rural in nature, the town now largely serves as a satellite village of Geelong, with many residents commuting into the city to work.

The town is home to Moriac Primary School, which has approximately 200 students, a pub, one shop. Also has a petting zoo.

Dalpura Farm has been doing very good work in forestry permaculture.

Birregurra Caravan Park in Birregurra Victoria

Birregurra is a town in Victoria, Australia approximately 130 km south-west of Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Birregurra had a population of 688.

A Post Office opened in the area on 1 October 1858 and was renamed Mount Gellibrand in 1894, a few days before another office nearby was opened as Birregurra.

The railway though the town was opened in 1877, as part of the line to the south west of the state. A branch line to Forrest left the main line here, opened in 1891 and closed in 1957. The local railway station is served by V/Line passenger services on the Warrnambool line.

The town has an Australian Rules football team competing in the Colac & District Football League.

Golfers play at the Birregurra Golf Club on Hopkins Street.

Rokewood Caravan Park in Rokewood Victoria

Rokewood is a small rural township in Victoria, Australia. The town is located in the Golden Plains Shire, 133 kilometres (83 mi) west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Rokewood and the surrounding area had a population of 244.

Rokewood Post Office opened on 1 October 1857. A Rokewood Junction office opened in 1868 and closed in 1976.

In conjunction with its neighbouring township Corindhap Rokewood has an Australian Rules football team, Rokewood-Corindhap, competing in the Lexton Plains Football League.
Golfers play at the course of the Rokewood Golf Club on Rokewood – Shelford Road.
