Bev Mclean reviews BIG4 Shepparton East Holiday Park in Shepparton Victoria.

Our roving reporter Bev Mclean of Howard springs Northern Territory reviews BIG4 Shepparton East Holiday Park in Victoria:

“After staying 2 weeks at this park I found the owners Kaye and Kym to be very friendly and helpful. The staff were also very nice every morning they would take time to say hello and and ask what plans we had for the day. The grounds were always kept clean, and the rooms were so very clean. I wouldnt have a problem in going back there to stay. Good on you everyone some other parks should take a leaf out of your book.”

Sue Reynolds of Melbourne reviews Tongala Caravan Park Victoria

This is a well kept, pretty caravan park, but is more suited to the senior traveller who retires early in the evening. Our first experience was the female owner pointing out the down sides of the park on our arrival. Our site was lovely, spacious and grassy. On our second evening about 11 families gathered in the camp kitchen to chat about our travels with our newly made friends (as you do in caravan parks), the male owner came over threatening to kick out the person / familiy who left wet toilet paper in the male toilets, them came back at 10.30pm and shut down the camp kitchen and was very rude and abrupt, sending us back to our sites to go to bed. The games room was locked and only with an adult could the children go in. The pool was cold and paint from the bottom and sides of the pool came off on your feet and fingers. There are much friendlier places to stay up the road in Echuca, we won’t be back and in fact left a day early.

Dorothy Vassallo reviews Koonwarra Family Holiday Park in Lakes Entrance Victoria.

Our roving reporter Dorothy Vassallo of WEST WODONGA Victoria reviews Koonwarra Family Holiday Park in Victoria:

“Just completed a 11 day stay in Feb 2011 (tent) at this caravan park. Overall not bad but the permanent residents have said that in the past 18 months the condition of the park has deteriorated. I have looked at the photos on this site – taken in 2008 and there is a visible difference – especially in the games room. Main complaint is lack of garden maintenance and things out of order (2 BBQs, heated spa and dryer).”

Maria Coutsis of Mordialloc Victoria reviews Blue Gums Riverside Holiday Park Eildon Victoria

The following review was kindly supplied by our roving reporter Maria Coutsis of Mordialloc Victoria:

“This park is on the banks of the Goulburn River with swimming, fishing and excellent kayaking. The park has good quality cabins (some new), large grassed and shady powered sites, some along the river and plenty of parkland for unpowered camping.

There are three amenities blocks, two pools, a games room, large playground and volley ball, full shop, undercover BBQs and full camp kitchen.

This is a great place to spend some time with plenty to do in the area.

The management are friendly and very helpful.”
