Branxton Golf Course - Branxton NSW

The Branxton Golf Course is located at 25 Cessnock Road, Branxton. Branxton is a small village north of Maitland. It is a great credit to this small town to have a golf course. The course is a bit rough and ready but quite interesting. The undulating nature of the land makes for some challenging holes. A number of greens were under repair when I visited the course.

The last three holes are quite challenging and the Par 3 9th Hole has an undulating fairway which means that the ball needs to be hit straight (ideally directly on to the green) to avoid running down the hill. The greens fees are over the top considering the condition of the course. The Hunter has a lot of excellent courses so my recommendation would be to put this one well down the list.
