Fullarton River North Rest Area - Cloncurry QLD
Fullarton River North Rest Area is located on the Landsborough Highway at Cloncurry in Queensland. Cloncurry is 1704km north west of Brisbane if you travel via Blackhall and Tambo on the Landsborough Highway. The trip takes approximately 18 hours and 28 minutes, although slower if you are towing a heavy van or large rig. This is a good spot to stay overnight. Some traffic noise, particularly from road trains, is unavoidable in this place due to the proximity of the highway.

This is a long narrow rest area about 60 km SE of Cloncurry. It has along bitumen area running parallel to the road on the Western side which is mainly for the use of trucks and road trains as a rest area. There is another extensive area next to this bitumen area which is essentially a long dirt road, fenced on the scrub side, but suitable for making camp along with a caravan. There are a couple of well maintained toilets and a sheltered area with tables and bench seats. A very good overnight rest area.
