Apex Riverside Tourist Park - Forbes NSW

Apex Riverside Tourist Park is situated next to the Lachlan River Weir. The setting is delightful and the Park Manager walks all arrivals through the park showing them the features and assisting them to select a site. The park has 75 sites of which 73 are tourist. The park is in a quiet location. Amenities are very good and the park has some nice cottages with views of the Lachlan River. The park is a member of the Top Tourist Parks network. The resident managers are Neil and Jane Gilmore. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos. Photos on this page were taken on 12th June 2006. More recent photos were kindly supplied by our roving reporter Russell Barter in August 2013.
We were relocating from Qld to Tas and stayed at the Apex River Tourist Park for one night. The manager walked us to our site and made sure we were happy with it. The amenities were spotless and the location alongside the Lachlan River was superb. We would happily return and we recommend this park for a holiday or overnight. We wished we could have stayed longer.  Lorraine McColl, Launceston TAS.

Lee and I stayed in this park for several months (in and out) from July last year till Feb this year. We found the Management team to be great Hosts, and nothing was a problem to them. The amenities etc were always clean. The grounds were always maintained with beautiful green lawns and trees. We also stored our van there while traveling to Tasmania and everything was well looked after. We thank the management team and look forward to calling in again.

This was a brilliant little park with really friendly and helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay and will be back when we have more time as this was an overnight stop over this time.

We stayed at the park last week (Apr 2012) in our AVan on a grassy site adjacent to the river. It was our second visit in 18 months and was as pleasant as the first. Friendly and efficient managers, clean amenities, and grounds that would be the envy of many other parks we have stayed at. A big 'well done' to the managers. We will definitely be staying again in the near future. Strongly recommended!

We stayed here about a year ago...It's a very nice caravan park...Not too big and you can set up your van to face to river and its very private. Park Manager is wonderful and takes pride in his work and is reflected in the park and it's amenities and grounds. The night we stayed someone stole a fridge from the Camp Kitchen (swines) but I am sure they have replace that now and it's a great camp kitchen.

We loved this park, stayed one night on our Central West road trip. Managers are Lyn and Frank Henley and they were great. Park was busy with hang gliding crowd but this did not affect us at all. Clean and well run, we also wished we could have stayed longer. We recommend it.
