We stayed here in July 2013. The road in is a reasonable dirt road ..about 10 kms and the camp fees are collected by a resident camper caretaker (I think about $5.00 per rig). The Nature based camping area is spread over grass covered low sand dunes and many of the campers come here every year for an extended stay. There is a rudimentary natural sand and rock boat ramp and most long term campers have boats and fish off shore or go mud crabbing in a creek a few kms South of the camp area. Television is generally available from Karratha, all sites are unpowered and fresh drinking water is made available from a tap set in the side fence line of the Apache gas Plant which is located on the corner of the turn off from the main Highway 1. Large rubbish bins are emptied regularly and while there are no toilets/showers available, there is a dump point of basic style. Fishing is the main past-time and there are several areas where fishing is possible off the shore from rock ledges and the beach.
