The park is quite large and well spread out. There are many sites for tents and caravans right along the rivers edge. The park is mainly grassed and most sites are not shaded. There are sites that are not along the water as well. There are new cabins along one side of the park near the water as well as basic but fairly modern cabins in a cluster on the road side of the park. The road is not busy. There are old style amenities throughout the park but are in good condition. There is a good camp kitchen. There is a pontoon for fishing from and there is a boat ramp next to the park. There are also water side BBQs and picnic tables. From the park you can walk to a designated swimming area in safe calm water and along a good path which also leads to the marina. While in Iluka you must sample Clarence River seafoods fish and chips, one of the best we have had and you can buy fresh sea food as well. There is also a ferry next to the park that takes you to Yamba across the river cost at the time of writing was $7.30 per adult. Lovely ride and great for visiting Yamba for the day or a few hours.
