Lake Inverell Reserve - Inverell NSW

Lake Inverell Reserve was created in 1937 and was the main water supply for Inverell until 1982. The Lake, and surround area, was declared a nature reserve in 1983. The Lake has a surface area of approximately 36 hectares. It is well stocked with fish and is visited by large flocks of birds. The black swan, Inverell's official town symbol, can be found in this area. Lake Inverell Reserve has an excellent picnic area with modern amenities. Good walking tracks make this an excellent place for a relaxing stroll. Photos on this page were taken on 10th March 2005.
