We stayed at this Caravan Park for 3 nights and we were not impressed. The showers are small and no where to put your shower bag, clothes etc. We had no phone or internet connection during our stay. The grounds could do with a good clean up. The site fees were cheap, I suppose you get what you pay for.

This is by far the best park in/near Mareeba. Hosts excellent, locals great too. Terrific weekly rate. You just have to be there to see for yourself.

We arrived at the Country Caravan Park Mareeba, just before Christmas 2011 for a short stay. Four months later we're thinking about moving on, only because there's so much more of Oz we want to see. The owner/managers are fantastic people (hosts) entertaining helpful and really make you feel welcome at the park. The parks location is ideally situated for waiting out the wet, an hour from Cairns, close to some major shopping centers, surrounded by beautiful places to visit and fresh produce everywhere.
Facilities at the park only lack a dump point, but, whenever you head into town just take the cassettet with you to the dump point there so really there's not an issue in this regard.
