Forges Beach No 2 - Yarrawonga VIC
Forges Beach No 2 is a delightful camp areas on the Murray River not far from Yarrawonga. As you would explect it is great for boating,fishing,swimming and relaxing. Take care when swimming in the river as currents can be quite strong. Yarrawonga is only a 5 minute drive away with good shops and a supermarket. Dump Points are Yarrawonga Showgrounds and Mulwala Train Park. Drinking water can be accessed from both these areas also. This area can get quite busy in peak holiday periods. What a great spot. An oasis. It was very hot when we were there, so the river was a lifesaver. We sat in the water most of the afternoon and evening sipping wine. There was a drop toilet if you aren't self contained. The road in is a little rough but ok if you take it slow. The camp is free and wonderful, one of my favourites.
