Pardoo Station - Pardoo WA

Pet Friendly

The park is well set up for caravans, however there is little shade for most sites. There is a pool and most other facilities such as camp kitchen etc. There are also rooms available. Unpowered camping is pretty unsophisticated with a "pick a spot between the tamarisks" approach which was refreshing.

The camp area is run by the station staff and they were very friendly with mud maps of the beach access roads etc available and tide charts on request. There is a small shop in the reception area of the camp ground that is open a few hours a day and stocks fishing gear and some alcohol etc.

We stayed here in July 2013 during some hot and sultry weather. The pool was well used and proved to be clean, well maintained and a good place to chill out and swap stories with other campers. The shower/toilet blocks are the transportable types with individual cubicles that have a shower, toilet and hand basin complete and appeared to be reasonably well maintained. There are some trees for shade on the powered sites and the park was quite busy when we were there. We all,...six people, had a great meal one night in the camp kitchen/staff cafe/dining area that is also open to the general public to use. Worth a stay of 2-3 days. Tracks to beach and creek would be impassable in the rain and while we were there, we did not see a fish caught which was a bit disappointing. The road in, was well maintained dirt similar to the roads into Eighty Mile Beach and Barn Hill.
