Coorong Caravan Park was a hidden treasure situated on the Princes Highway 50km south of Meningie. This quiet, peaceful 13 acre park had magnificent views of the waters and sand dunes of the Coorong. Bird watchers loved this park which attracts many native species and particularly wading birds. You can get a list of the birds seen in the area when you check in. An ocean beach nearby offers excellent beach fishing. The park had nice powered sites, a good amenities block and some cabins. The caretakers were extremely welcoming and helpful. A nice diner on the highway in front of the park serves delicious meals. Very little traffic passes by so you were assured of a good sleep. Photos on this page were taken on 6th June 2006.
Can only endorse your comments! Stayed there a year ago and was almost overcome with the beauty of the place. The owners were among the friendliest we have encountered. Really looking forward to staying there again!  Alan Lazarus, Patterson Lakes VIC.
