Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park - Port Macquarie NSW

The Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park - Port Macquarie NSW is located at 1 Munster Street. The park has magnificent views of the river and river mouth. This is quite a large park with 425 tourist sites of which 200 are powered. Despite the size the park is roomy. A large number of cabins are available for rent with water views. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.

The park is right on the water which is great. Nice management but the site we had was very small. It was a BIG4 when we were there. Security isn't tight, you can walk into the park from the beach. The shower block is dated but ok. The position is great.

The only good thing I can say about this park is it can fit big rigs easily, its an open roomy park and the proximity to the break wall. The shower blocks of which there are 3 are old in bad condition and dirty. The grass areas in the park have not been mowed for weeks. There used to be a play ground but has been removed presumably because of it was unsafe. BBQs are almost non existent those few that are there I probably wouldn't bother using. The roads are all sealed but are rough in places. There are very few slab sites are mostly grass and dirt. We only saw one very basic dump point. The cabins along the break wall look ok and there are other cabins up on the hill which look to be ok too. There are several other budget cabins some are so old I wouldn't pay much to stay in them. There were many vans in the park but we would not stay here. The park is very big and it is a shame it has been allowed to run down. If the managers/owners cant be bothered any more the park should be sold it is a waste of what could be a very good park

Sadly this park has deteriorated over the years. We have been gone there several times and each time we return the pot holes I'm the roads get bigger, the phacilities get more run down. This is a shame because it is the best located caravan park in Port Macquarie. Hope the owners pick up their game.
