A 3-km walk (2 hours return) extends from Cascades carpark to Tuross Falls. There is a new viewing platform 100 metres from the carpark overlooking the Cascades and gorge downstream. You can camp at Lake Creek or Cascades and picnic at Wadbilliga Crossing.
Access Enter Lake Creek and Wadbilliga Crossing from Cobargo via Yowrie and Bourkes roads. Access Cascades from Cooma and Counteganey via Badja Forest Road and Tuross Falls Road.
Nice campsites although accesible by 2wd as well. Floies can be nasty in summer, nice swiming holes around for a cooling dip. A walking track leads from this campground to a viewing platform overlooking Tuross Falls. There is a new viewing platform 100 m from the carpark overlooking the Cascades and gorge downstream. You'll need to bring drinking water.
Getting there: This campground is off Badger and Peters roads.
Facilities: picnic tables, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), non-flush toilets The campsite is accessible by all weather unsealed roads suitable for 2wd vehicles 302.9 km SSW of Sydney
This campground is west of Cooma off Badger and Peters Roads. You will need to walk a short distance from your car to the campsite - no caravans or camper trailers. There are a total of 20 campsites Need to bring your own drinking water. There is a viewing platform, looking over Tuross Falls and down the gorge. You are not able to book these campsites - first come basis.
