BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort & Van Park is a stunning caravan park with excellent location and facilities. The park has 92 sites of which 68 are powered. The park has a large range of cabin accommodation including some new Balinese cottages. Roads and facilities throughout the park are excellent. The park is in a quiet area yet close to the main attractions of Airlie Beach. The resident managers are Tamieka and Andrew Robinson. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell them that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos. Airlie Cove Resort & Van Park is part of the Big4 Holiday Parks Network.
Now I have only just discovered this site, and keeping in mind that when typing this comment we had stayed at Airlie Cove caravan park almost 2 yrs ago, But I couldn't let such a beautiful park go unmentioned. My husband 2 kids and I stayed there for 3 nights and we had a wonderful time. We stayed on one of the new ensuite sites and they were lovely. At the time of us staying there the park would put on a free brekky on a Wednesday morning and that was great, it was nice to have a morning off from organising breakfast for everyone. The park was well maintained, the staff friendly and would highly recommend a trip to Daydream Island. All in all a great stay, and we are heading up that way again in nov 2007, so will be trying to get back there if only for a couple of nights. A plus from me. Leanne Ross, Morayfield QLD.

Not the best park we've stayed at. The site allocated was muddy after some recent rain and also it ran up from the road to a concrete true slab. Once on that slab the coupling was virtually touching the ground and I couldn't get the jockey wheel on. Asked for another site and they gave me a choice of a few but all were the same. I needed to jack the drawbar up so I could get the jockey wheel on. It presented all kinds of drama when I had to hitch up to leave the place. There is a TT park just down the road, that's where we'll stay next time.

I agree this is a an absolutely beautiful park but the only down side was that they allow kids to use scate bourds, ripple sticks and roller baldes. Nearly every park we have stayed in does not allow them because of them noise they make. Sounds picky but when you have half a dozzen kids rattling past the van all day and when they stack it which was very often, you have to listen to them screaming their heads off! Very bloody annoying. Dogs barking, can put up with that much better than screaming kids any day! Rather a park that allows dogs and bans kids!
