What a find! Conway Beach, while somewhat off the beaten track, is a superbly run, immaculate park which obviously has had a lot of love and thought put into it. Conway Beach TP is situated at the mouth of the Proserpine River and is about 25 minutes from Airlie Beach and the same distance from nearby Proserpine. The area is a magnet for fishermen who can now bring their families as the park has great facilities for kids with two jumping pillows, a playground and a lovely shaded pool with beach entry and waterslide. The van sites are large and each has a concrete slab and afford adegree of privacy with palm trees and shrubs between sites. The camping sites are grassed. The womens' amenities are reportedly the most photographed in Australia and I do not wonder why! They are stunning and very well appointed. There is a BBQ area overlooking the pool and a large well equipped camp kitchen.Added touches are the fish, boat and car cleaning area which also has a convenient crab cooker. There is a communal herb garden and campers are encouraged to pick their own fresh herbs. Pets are not forgotten and are welcomed - well most anyhow! The beach is 200 metres away and a boat ramp is only 5km down the road. The owners, George and Debbie and their staff are extremely approachable and offer expert help in backing in caravans. There are regular activites offered in the large communal area. All in all, this is one of the better run and equipped caravan parks we have been to. The only downside is that there is very poor mobile phone coverage and virtually no internet (without an auxilliary aerial). We had to go down to the beach in order to log on to the internet! Highly recommended!

Stayed in many many caravan/tourist parks over the years but Conway Beach tourist park we found was by far the most pleasant, entertaining, friendly, colourful, clean and attractive park to stay. The owners have thought of everything one could wish for at a holiday venue. Will most certainly be back!
