Wonthaggi is a town of 6,000 people located 132km from Melbourne. The town has a long history of coal mining which has now been replaced by beef and dairy industries. The
Coalfields Caravan & Residential Park has 35 tourist sites of which 10 are unpowered. Powered sites are generally of poor quality and interspersed with weekenders and permanents.
