The BIG4 Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort is located at Wooli Road, Wooli. Wooli is a small coastal village of 300 people 658km from Sydney and a thousand miles from care. Mid north coast residents will often hear the name Wooli in the coastal waters forecast (Wooli to Seal Rocks). The village is lovely and unspoilt.

BIG4 Solitary Island Marine Park Resort (formerly Bushland Holiday Park) is a pleasant park in a bushland setting. The park is located adjacent to the Wooli Wooli River. Sites beside the river cost more than those in other parts of the park. The owners are enthusiastic and work hard to improve the park. The resident owners are Jan and Richard. The park is pet friendly. This park is part of the Family Parks of Australia (FPA) network. We came to stay at the park rather accidentally due to being unable to stay in the National Park. Someone actually recommended Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort to us. All I can say is they were absolutely right. We arrived in May 2012 with the intention of staying a couple of weeks, to our surprise there was a promotion of stay one week and the second week is free. Jan and Richard were amazing going well beyond what one could expect from any park owners. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was so much to do here and so much room to do it. Right on the river with the choice of canoeing, kayaking, boating and fishing, 18 Hole Putt Putt course, Heated swimming pool, Spa, Childrens wading pool, Jumping pillow. The camp kitchen is first class, plus a cafe and licensed restaurant. The meals here are so reasonable and delicious, why bother cooking. I would rate this park at least a 4 star but Jan and Richard and their staff make it a 6 star!! We loved it here so much we stayed another 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute! I highly recommend the drive to Wooli and a holiday at Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort.
