Wye River Foreshore Camping Reserve is located at Great Ocean Rd - E , Wye River. Wye River is located 159km south west of Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road. We stayed here for the first time recently - it's usually fully booked so we haven't been able to get in until now! If you're a family with young kids or teenagers this site is perfect. 60 powered sites nestled down just behind the beach, with a few trees to shelter you from the wind. Great beach with shallow water a long way out, plus a river for paddling in if you prefer. Site has direct beach access (no roads to cross) basic but clean amenities, BBQ and has an upmarket (i.e expensive) general store across the road and the Wye River pub just up the hill. $60 a night in peak season is probably at the top end of what you'd be wanting to pay but the proximity to the beach more than makes up for it! Highly recommended!
