Seaside Caravan Parks: Christies Beach Tourist Park Adelaide

John and Charmaine Ferguson from Christies Beach Tourist Park in Adelaide, South Australia kindly sent me some photos of their park which are now on Caravan Park Photos.

This park is right on the beach and the aerial photo below, which they provided, really highlights the location.

It got me thinking about seaside Caravan Parks and so I am going to troll my website and highlight some other parks that are located right on the coast.

If you have any suggestions please add them to the comment box below.

Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park Victoria

Roving reporter Gary Bracewell from Melbourne has sent an email informing me that the owners of the Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park have, and are spending, plenty on the park and  it’s about 75% complete.

According to Gary the staff are more than helpful, courteous and happy.  Dogs allowed on a lead, no fires, modern facilities kept clean, good camping areas, good powered sites but not much shade.

Gary says there is plenty to do in the area and that this is a most picturesque and pleasant environment for an overnight or long holiday stay, right on the Goulburn river and Lake Negambie.

Small Town Caravan Parks: Delegate NSW

Today I had the privilege to take some photos and video of a caravan park in the small village of Delegate which is in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.

Delegate has a population of 450 people and is to be congratulated for creating facilities for campers and caravan owners.

The little park is beside a delightful river which anglers will find mighty tempting.

I’ve included some thumbnails below but the full photo set and video can been see at the Delegate Caravan Park Photos page.

Check in Parking at Caravan Parks

The space and convenience of check in parking areas varies considerably from park to park.

The Ulladulla Holiday Village sets a new standard for check-in parking with a generous horseshoe arrival area which you can see below:

I acknowledge that many parks are unable to provide such a generous area due to constraints on land and existing buildings.

However, I think Ulladulla Holiday Village sets a good benchmark for new parks or those being renovated.
