Caravan Park Photos December 2009 Newsletter: Seasons Greetings!

Warmest greetings to my fellow caravanners.

SEASONS GREETINGS

It is that time of the year when caravan parks are packed to the rafters. It is also the hottest time of the year so finding cool places can be a bit of a challenge.

Wherever you plan to go I hope you arrive safely and have a most enjoyable summer.

CARAVAN PARK PHOTOS GOLD AWARDS

Gold Award for Excellence
Gold Award for Excellence

I have just established a Gold Award for Excellence on Caravan Park Photos because I strongly believe that caravan parks that provide excellent services, facilities or a unique experience should be duly recognised and encouraged.

The initial list of awardees can be seen here.

However, this is by no means a complete list so I would like to invite you to nominate parks that you feel are worthy of special mention. The awards are open to parks large and small and even for ones not shown on our site. If you nominate a park that is not shown we will create a listing for them.

We would also like your permission to include your name on the listing as the nominating person. It can also be anonymous if you so desire.

One of the parks that I have already included on the list is the Old School Camping & Caravan Park at Merriwagga NSW. The award was given for the unique character of the park, quiet location in a charming little village and the personalised service of the owner Key Fry.

Please submit your nominations through our Online Feedback Form.

JOIN OUR ROVING REPORTERS

If you feel the need for some extra excitement in your travels then join our team of volunteer Roving Reporters. We will give you full credit for all your contributions.

Click here for full details on how to participate.

If you don’t wish to become a Roving Reporter but would like to submit comments about different parks then please do so through our online form.

All comments are now turned into Blog Posts which means they have stand alone priority in the Search Engines. You can see an example of this from some comments sent by Graeme Arnold about Merriwa Caravan Park.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU

In signing off for 2009 I would like to thank everyone who has contributed throughout the year by way of feedback, photos or by just recommending the service to your friends and fellow travellers.

Make the most of your caravanning. As far as we know dead people can’t do it any more.

John Townsend.
