Our roving reporter Len Archer of Serpentine Western Australia reviews Tarunda Caravan Park in Western Australia:

“There are 3 parks in Fitzroy Crossing, this is a small park, older facilities but neat and tidy. Has large grassed, shady sites, powered $29 , $26 unpowered, The Toilet/Shower blocks are old but neat and clean, small camp kitchen, and it has a laundry with several machines. The park is fully fenced and will take pets on leash. OK for stopping over to take a run out to Geikie Gorge, or a tour, 18km from town on a bitumen road.”

Len Archer reviews Pardoo Roadhouse Tavern and Caravan Park in Western Australia.

Our roving reporter Len Archer of Serpentine Western Australia reviews Pardoo Roadhouse Tavern and Caravan Park in Pardoo Western Australia:

“A nice little Oasis, with grassed sites, power, water connection, takes pets on lead, and the toilets/shower combination are ok for the Pilbara area. Has small laundry and a lovely shaded swimming pool, kept in good condition. Service station has Petrol/Diesel/LPG and a tavern/Restaurant attached where good meals can be had for $20, large serve. The price is $28 powered and $24 unpowered and the owners assured me they are trying to keep the prices this season. (An unpowered site in one park in Port Hedland is $35 per night). A 40km return side trip will take you out to Cape Kerauden, ($10 entry) but if the Threadfin salmon are running at the creek it is worthwhile.”
