New photos of Discovery Holiday Park – Lake Bonney at Barmera South Australia have just been uploaded to Caravan Park Photos.

The photos were kindly supplied by our roving reporters Barry and Helen Rodgers. They reviewed the park as follows:

“We stopped overnight at the Discovery Lakeside Park at Lake Bonney November last. We were alotted a site next to the amenity block, but my wife (Helen) did not like it-too many kids jumping on the jump thing and people around etc. so we moved to the next block without any fuss. We have found a number of “Top Tourist Parks” tend to lock up some of the showers etc. The management were quite obliging, and I found the park OK (nothing special) Helen was not impressed with it. ”

Barry and Helen write: “It is listed in the RACQ book as “non star rated”. It is privately operated and not in any group. We stayed there on our way to the Flinders Ranges and on our return journey. They have powered sites and cabins The showers etc were all clean and tidy, much better than some we have stayed at. Did not like the radio going all night in toilets, but otherwise no complaints.”

Mal Mills reviews BIG4 Robe Long Beach Holiday Park – Robe South Australia

The following review and photos have been kindly supplied by our roving reporter Mal Mills:

“About 350 k’s south of Adelaide in an area known as the Lime Stone Coast. This little town is coastal and predominantly a deep sea fishing port. There are 2 main caravan parks, Top tourist and Big 4 also a cabin park, or you can stay in the National Park camp ground. We stayed at the Big 4.

The Big4 is of a standard one comes to expect from these parks, paved roads, and lawned van areas, good modern amenities, and security boom gates. What was a surprise was this park has that little extra; for a country town. Indoor heated swimming pool, extensive games room for the kids and a very short walk to the beach.”
