Julie Waters reviews Beach Haven Holiday Resort in Ulladulla NSW.

Our roving reporter Julie Waters of Batemans Bay NSW reviews Beach Haven Holiday Resort in NSW.

“Nothing short of pathetic. Stay away at all costs.

There is an activities room that has no activities. The solar heated pool was freezing. The spa was freezing.

Everything is under lock and key and visitors need to pay a $20 deposit to get the key to use any of the facilities.

The kids even need to book a go on the jumping pillow.

At 8.30am we had to ask someone to unlock the camp kitchen so we could cook breakfast.

When we go on holidays we like to be spontaneous to a certain extent but with this place you are forever looking at the time to see when it is your kids turn to enjoy themselves.

The maintenance guy rides around the park on his little scooter carrying on like Hitler. On check in we were told our second car could be parked on a vacant van site opposite our site as the park was almost empty. We were told we may need to move it at short notice if they sold that site and we were more than happy with that but little maintenance guy decided to assert some authority and we were told to move the car. I now know why the park was half empty over a long weekend. Other people have obviously been burnt by this ‘jail like’ park in the past.

Never again.”
