Nine Mile Beach - Casuarina, Pandanus, Melaleuca and Myrtella - Byfield National Park QLD
Location: 27 km east of Water Park Creek and approximately 6 km south of Nine Mile Access Track.
Access: Nine Mile Beach can be accessed by 4WD or boat. Access tracks from the beach to camping areas are marked by name and a camping and vehicle access symbol. Access with camper trailers is possible but not recommended.
Number of sites: 4 defined camping areas—Casuarina, Pandanus, Melaleuca and Myrtella—but no defined camp sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your 4WD.
Camp site surface: Grass/sand.
Facilities: There are no facilities at Nine Mile Beach. The nearest facilities are at Five Rocks campground in Byfield Conservation Park.
Open fires: must be off the ground and fully enclosed beneath and on all four sides. You must bring your own fireplace and take it and all coals and ash home with you. Bring your own clean, milled timber for firewood—collecting wood and kindling from the park is prohibited.
Generators: Permitted only between 8 am and 7 pm providing they have a sound rating of 65 decibels or less.
Essentials to bring: Drinking water, first aid kit, sturdy rubbish bags, sun protection and insect repellent. Portable chemical toilets and gas or fuel stoves are recommended. Read more about things to know before you go.

Mobile phone coverage: Unreliable—mobile reception may be available from Stockyard Point headland or on the beach at low tide. Consider taking a satellite phone.
