Freshwater Campground - Cooloola National Park QLD

The campground (55 sites) is set among scribbly gum woodland about 500m inland from the beach. Sites must be pre-booked at all times of the year. Bring $1 coins for hot showers. Campfires are not permitted. Cook with fuel stoves in all campsites. Free gas barbecues are provided in the nearby day-use area.

Location: 8 km south of Double Island Point along Teewah Beach.
Access: Off Freshwater Road. The campground and beach can be reached by 4WD only.
Number of sites: 59 sites (separate but not numbered).
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; camper trailers (with good clearance). Group camping is available.
Camp site surface: Sand.
Facilities: Fresh water (treat before use), flushing toilets, hot showers ($1 for 5 minutes), rubbish bins and a pay phone. Free gas barbecues are provided at the nearby day-use area. There is a portable toilet waste disposal facility adjacent to the Freshwater day-use area.
Open fires: Prohibited. Cook with fuel stoves in all camp sites.
Generators: Prohibited.

Freshwater group camping area
Campground features: Large developed camping areas at Freshwater campground. Group camping areas accommodate school and other organised, non-school groups. There is a 9 pm noise curfew at this campground.
Location: Freshwater campground, 8 km south of Double Island Point along Teewah Beach.
Access: Off Freshwater Road. The campground and beach can be reached by 4WD only.
Number of sites:
Freshwater education group site—one large site for a maximum of 40 people. This site is for school or education based groups only and is not available during peak periods.
Freshwater 'old group site'—one large site for a maximum of 20 people. This site is for non-school and educational groups.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping.
Camp site surface: Sand and/or grass.
Facilities: Water (treat before use), flushing toilets, hot showers ($1 for 5 minutes), rubbish bins and pay phone. There is a portable toilet waste disposal facility adjacent to day-use area. There are 4 car park spaces available for the education group site, and 5 car park spaces for the group site.
Open fires: Prohibited. Cook with fuel stoves in all camp sites.
