Darling River Campgrounds - Kinchega National Park NSW

Explore the Aboriginal sites and European structures, such as the Kinchega Woolshed. Car-based and caravan camping are available at the rest area near Lake Cawndilla, beside Emu Lake or along the river. You can also stay in the old shearers' quarters (bookings required).
Access 111 km south-east of Broken Hill along the road to Menindee. Unsealed roads, closed when wet. Vehicle entry fee applies. Wheelchair access: hard
You can camp on secluded campsites with accessible barbecues around the park. Beaches down steep river banks are accessible with assistance. Camping fees apply.
Camp beneath the shade of the giant River Red Gums by the bank of the Darling River in your own private camp site. Listen to the Kookaburras as they declare their territory at sunrise and sunset and watch the Finches and Willy Wag Tails as they dance through the bush hunting insects. As you sit by your campfire of an evening listen to the timeless sound of the river flowing past and imagine what the River Red Gum beside you has seen in his 300 years or so of existence.
Hot showers and bore water are available at the Shearers' Quarters at the historic woolshed by gold coin donation.
Please be aware of the weather conditions, if it rains you may be asked to move your camp to Emu Lake campground or you may be asked to stay at your camp site for several days while the road dries out. Please make sure you travel with ample food and water.
Getting there: The campsites are along the River Drive.
Facilities: picnic tables, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), non-flush toilets Campsite is accessible by unsealed roads usually fine for 2wd vehicle in the dry, but may not be passable after rain
