Old Faithful Waterhole Camping Area - Lakefield National Park QLD

Location: 23 kilometres north of New Laura ranger station. From the Lakefield Road turn-off, it is six kilometres to the camp sites.
Access: the campground can be reached by four-wheel-drive vehicles only.
Number of sites: three numbered sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car. Not recommended for trailers.
Camp site surface: dirt and grass.
Facilities: individual fire rings.
Open fires: allowed in fire rings only (except when fire bans apply) but fuel stoves recommended. Do not collect firewood in the national park.
Generators: generators that operate at a noise level of less than 65dB(A) at seven metres are permitted.
Essentials to bring: adequate food and drinking water, equipment for treating water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, mosquito nets, fuel stove and adequate fuel and spare parts for your vehicle. Read more about things to know before you go.
Bookings: self-register and fill in the reservations board at the shelter at the New Laura ranger station.
