Cleaverville Beach Campground is located 26 kilometres north-west of Karratha and is a very popular spot for extended and overnight camping or day trips and has a number of secluded scenic sites. Described by one grey nomad as "Well I really don't know that it gets much better than this."
Access to Cleaverville Beach in WA is via a maintained gravel road (corrigations are not too bad), situated 19 kilometres from the Karratha Road turnoff. The fishing beaches in this area, particularly the mouth of Clearville Creek are well known and appreciated by locals. A variety of marine wildlife, including sea turtles, can also be sighted in and around this area.
Camp fees range from $7 a night to $40 a week. More details available at the Karratha Visitor Centre.
