Mike and Minnette review Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village Queensland

Mission Beach Hideaway Village
Mission Beach Hideaway Village

The following report has been kindly supplied by our riving reporters Mike and Minnette:

Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village is perfectly situated just 200m from the beach and an equal distant from Mission Beach village. The park is quite large with over 100 caravan and camping/tent sites. The park also has nice cabins (some with ensuite facilities). As the sites are quite tight expert help is given in backing your caravan.

There are two amenities blocks which are kept very clean even during the height of the season with the park full. The washing machines and dryers are some of the newest and cleanest we have come across in our travels. There is plenty of hanging space for washing. There is constant maintenance of the grounds which results in a very neat, well kept park.

The 3 camp kitchens are all kept immaculate. The very clean pool has a lovely tropical setting and there are an adequate number of very comfy loungers. There is a large games/TV area with a big screen TV, billiards table and table tennis.

For a refundable deposit, you can get a TV cable connecting to the parks 5 channel reception. The park also has a 24hr internet kiosk and a tour booking lounge. Fees are at the upper end of the scale for caravan sites during high season but discounts are available for longer stays.

Bookings for school holidays and the winter months are essential as this park is very popular especially with fisherfolk. We spent 3 months here from July through to October and have marked Mission Beach down for a return visit in 2011.”
